Lead a development team for CodeGear C++Builder product. Responsibilities include coordinating development team tasks, mentoring other R&D engineers, as well as contributing to the development and maintenance of CodeGear products.
Supervisory Responsibilities
• Work with US based team to define, schedule, assign and track R&D tasks within team
• Review team check-ins for technical and functional correctness
• Share technical knowledge, coach and grow team members
• Participate in hiring and refining hiring procedures for future team
• Balance workloads, supervise and evaluate the work of R&D Engineers
• Serve as communication link between distributed development teams
• Ensure defined development processes are followed by team
Responsibilities and Activities
• Develop and maintain functionality for CodeGear C++Builder
• Implement new product features
• Develop sample/demo applications
• Develop unit tests for existing and new product features
• Develop regression tests for reported defects
• Debug and fix defects in existing and new product features
Skills and Experience Required
• University degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Hands on experience developing tools and applications
• Excellent understanding of software development tools in general, background on programming applications
• Hands-on experience with C++ is required, Delphi is a plus
• Hands-on experience with tool development, VCL, compilers and parsers
• Good understanding of OOP fundamentals
• Familiarity with software engineering principles is essential
• Ability to define, prioritize and delegate tasks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including good command of written and spoken English
• Experience in leading a team to achieve goals, technical leader
• Knowledge and experience on Windows platforms, .NET, is a plus
• Education in general management, management experience is a plus
• Understanding of Agile development process is a plus
