The purpose of the role is to support the ongoing delivery of bespoke global database solutions in a Production environment, using established ETL toolkits. The role entails getting involved in the post-development stages of a project, supporting the ongoing delivery of the solution to exacting client standards. Analysis of data should be second nature, along with the ability to identify any issues and concerns with these solutions, as well as defining and documenting the necessary remedies to be applied – then either leading the resolution of the fix, or escalating to a subject specialist team in the
UK.
• Educated to degree level in a technical discipline
• Familiarity with ETL processing
• Understanding of the concepts and challenges inherent with International Data Processing
• A good understanding of the role and function of Marketing Databases – primarily B2B
• Experience with OO programming languages (Java, Perl and UNIX shell scripting)
• Understanding of the concepts and the application of RDBMS – particularly Oracle & SQL
• Experience with Unix/Linux/Windows OS
• Familiarity with Source Control software ie Sourcesafe/SVN
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong QC and ownership – can do attitude
• Good Communication Skills – both written and oral
• Proactive & Delivery Focused
• Problem Solving
• Adaptable
• Strong written and spoken English
