For a brand new Record Label we look for a passionate and young A&R. Your role is to seek, discover, and manage brand new unsigned Artists. Duties are also to be able to gain trust from artists, go to concerts when needed, as well as to have a vision about each project you'll be working on.
To be able to realize short time flow charts for your projects, as well as to manage budgets is a plus. Main part of your job is to check the social media & music blogs, in order to find your next "big thing".
English is a must have, so if you don't speak at a good level, please don't candidate yourself. A strong knowledge of the Social Media is essential, as well as a very powerful language skill, since you'll be dealing with artists, commonly known to be out of the line. Never give up approach, empathy, think above standards, are mandatory skills. There's no school where you can learn this job, so it's necessary to have a deep and neverending love for Indie, Alternative and Rock music at least. It's also necessary to be enough free to go on concerts when needed, be late at night and early morning at office, considering you are going to work for a Start Up.
