Main focus of this position:
As part of an international team, you help develop and maintain security software for currently approximately 100 million customers worldwide. The key responsibility of this position is to ensure the quality of our software components (applications, libraries, system services) using up-to-date methodologies of software engineering and testing.
Main challenges:
As a member of our feature team, you are working closely with our system engineers in the Windows software development. You ensure the integrity of technical specifications and if needed help with the problem analysis. Apart from performing manual tests and reviews, you act as a point of contact to automation ensuring that automatic tests achieve a sufficient cover.
The developed software is part of a globally successful security solution which is profoundly trusted by our customers and meets their high level of expectation. With your knowledge and skills, you help to ensure that the quality level of the developed software permanently meets our high demands on quality.
It is your personal goal to further improve the reliability, performance, range of functions and usability of our software and to point out possible infirmities. Your working methods are characterised by self-sufficiency, self-organisation and a pro-active orientation. You attach great importance to constructive collaboration and open communication within the team as well as with other departments.

Requirements:
Several years experience in working in Windows environments
Knowledge of the Windows system architecture Proficient knowledge in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and possiblyProject, Visio as well)
Good command of English (spoken and written)
Good command of German (spoken and written), or the aspiration for learning German with our support
Desirable additional qualifications:
Experience in the area of quality assurance, test automation or software development
Knowledge and experience in the field of testing methods and test procedures
Knowledge in the area of Windows security (firewall, antivirus, antispam, AntiRootkit, network security, etc.)
Certified as ISTQB certified tester or equivalent, Microsoft certificates (i.e. MCSE)
Experience in the use of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, SMTP, FTP, POP3, http, SSL/TLS, etc.)
Experienced in working with agile processes
Interest in taking over project responsibilities
