Public Euroconsulting, on behalf of our client , a rising new Internet Company in Berlin, is looking for an experienced Java Developer to help them pierce the market with the innovative mobile technologies.
Job title: Senior Java Developer
Location: Berlin, Germany
Responsibilities:
- Create an architectural and functional design for our Back End service
- Implementation of new features and further development of existing components
- Defining the development ́s requirements and necessary resources
- Guarantee the quality of the software code through continued testing, code reviews and documentation
- Create / expand RESTful APIs that communicate with mobile Front Ends
- Work within the team to resolve web production issues
- Write clean and readable code
Profile:
- Computer Science degree or equivalent qualification
- At least 4 years of professional experience with Java
- Solid understanding of Java / JEE and JVM
- Knowledge in Spring / Hibernate as well as, Object Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, Service
- Oriented Architecture (REST), Test and Behaviour Driven Development (TDD / BDD) and the principles of Agile Development
- Knowledge of Version Control Systems like Git/SVN
- Basic experience with Agile methodologies like Kanban and Scrum
- Ideally experience XMPP (OpenFire)
- Bonus points for experience in MongoDB, MySQL and Apache Tomcat
- Ideally experience with Geolocation technologies
- Proficient in English
