The role will ensure that all patients are treated with compassion, dignity and respect, promoting best practice to ensure that the patient experience is of the highest quality. This will be achieved through high visibility, accessibility and effective monitoring of service provision.
Qualifications:
• RGN or equivalent AHP qualification
• Relevant 1st degree, or in the process of undertaking Masters level programme
• Mentorship qualification
• Relevant management training
• Relevant Masters` degree
• Certificate in palliative care or equivalent
Work Background and Experience:
• Substantial record of post-registration experience
• Previous experience as a manager in a specialist palliative care environment, including staff and financial aspects of operational management
• Experience in mentoring, clinical supervision and reflective practice
• Experience in managing quality, clinical audit, clinical governance, risk management issues
• Experience of team working and building and maintaining effective working relationships in a multi-disciplinary environment and across health care boundaries
• Experience in managing change, whilst also developing and maintaining the provision of a high quality service
• Experience of effectively managing conflict
