The position works with the Sr. Manager, Services Portfolio in San Diego / Alameda on a daily basis to provide global interface with the Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, and Support organizations as well as the Corporate PMO to ensure that the Services Go-To-Market activities are synchronized with the rest of the corporation.
The Manager will support a portfolio of Services Offerings across following lines of embedded software development business:
• Aerospace&Defense mostly based on VxWorks 653 or DO-178 Cert, Hypervisor.
• Industrial Safety, including DO-178, IEC, ISO standards.
• Networking, Linux or VxWorks based network stack- related
• Mobile, Linux or Android based software stacks
• Security
Services Marketing Activities include:
- Creating market facing collateral in collaboration with the Services organization, Product Management, Product Marketing and Sales teams. Work closely with WR Corporate creative services staff in Alameda and the RDC
- Coordinating and driving the development of sales training tools for the field as an integral part of the product Go-to-market teams
- Managing the development of internal facing communications that promote Services, such as Winflash and Jive. Lead the development of marketing content in collaboration with S&S organization, Product Management, Product Marketing and Sales teams.
Services Portfolio Management activities include:
- Analysis and reporting on the effectiveness of services offerings in the portfolio (financial, attachment rate, pull-through product sales)
- Working with Product Management and Services Delivery organization to conceive new offerings
- Working tightly with services delivery Practice Leaders and Service Offering Owners to drive the development and launch of new offerings. Coordinate launch of new offerings with corporate teams as required (Project Management Office, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Support, Deal-Desk…).
Product Management and GTM Alignment activities include:
- Participating in GTM-PMO to ensure Services’ representation into the process. Coordinate with Service Offering owners and practice leaders to ensure successful launch.
- Interfacing with key external product and services partners as needed.
- Ability to travel to Alameda twice per year
- Solid understanding of Professional Services for embedded software development
- Excellent writing skills. Excellent graphic presentation development skills
- Familiarity with the Product development and launch processes
- Excellent program management and inter-organization skills
