- Utilizing specific knowledge base in engineering principles and practices within his/her discipline to perform basic, class and detail design activities;
- Providing the technical expertise, skill and insight, within his/her discipline, to perform engineering calculations and/or designs utilizing engineering software;
- Performing engineering/design calculations, layouts, detailing and drawing activities;
- Learning and maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of all applicable design tools, software, regulatory and classification rules and requirements and industry trends.
Qualification Requirements:
- University Engineering Studies (Shipbuilding or Thermal Machineries or Mechanical Technology);
- Minimum of 2 years experience with demonstrated expertise and skill in ship/marine design in his/her field or discipline;
- Fully conversant with AutoCAD, as well as other core design software tools;
- Must be fully conversant and capable with Microsoft Word and Excel;
- Good command of English (spoken and written).
