Duties & Responsibilities:
To support the Estimating Manager in his duties and responsibilities.
To act as a Team Leader, supervising the bid team during bid preparation
To coordinate with the estimation team and liaison with operations¿ management on the selection of plant and equipment, production rates, temporary work requirements, staffing levels e.t.c
To be proficient in CCS estimating system and to be able to price from first principles
To review the tender documents and request any clarifications from the Client/Engineer.
To analyze Bills of Quantities
To attend necessary site visits and compile a site visit report.
To identify risk items and tabulate the same for inclusion in the tender review. To ensure technical compliance.
To ensure commercial compliance
To identify plant requirements
In conjunction with the Senior Procurement Officer, list suitable Suppliers / Subcontractors to be approached for quotations.
To liaise with the procurement department regarding tender enquiry preparation, timely receipt and comparison analysis.
To review materials/subcontract quotation to ensure conformance with the requirements.
Preparation of the indirect costs for the project and review with the Estimating Manager.
Exploring alternative methods of construction and the carrying out of selective checks on production rates assumed.
Supervision of final adjustments and preparation of the Tender/Proposal submission to the client.
To investigate, collect and analyze data for the company¿s estimating standards.
Good Command of spoken & written English; Self-motivation, construction & engineering knowledge, computer literacy, negotiation, management and communication skills.
International Construction Company in Duabi is looking for Sr.Estimating Engineer. Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Construction Discipline;Good computer skills ¿ CCS Estimating system & Microsoft Office.
Experience:
Minimum ten years experience in the construction Industry with five structured estimating environment.
