• Leading, managing and interfacing the Project Construction Team (with the Project Director) assigned for the new build project and coordinating the team’s internal (yard, site) and external activities in executing the contract.
• Coordinate and schedule the construction aspects of the project as per Company or Clients established project quality procedures and expectations.
• Direct preparation of and review forecasts for manpower, materials and supplies required to build the, order tools, supplies and supporting service, and initiate action to insure stocks are maintained at minimum adequate levels.
• Evaluate efficiency of operations, plan and implement improvements, review construction program and assume direct responsibility for carrying out the construction programs.
• Prepare and issue project invoices to the client as per contract provisions to maximize positive cash-flow on the project. Review and process price quotes for additional work as needed (Change Orders - Variations).
• Preparation and issuance of Weekly and Monthly Reports to Client.
• Establishes performance and delivery criteria, ensuring that client and organizational requirements are being met; prepares project specifications, and coordinates procurement, as appropriate.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Fiscal aptitude to review and interpret project financial reports and ability to analyze project expenditures and forecasts.
• Ability to review and interpret designs, drawings and specifications when necessary.
• Knowledge of rig construction challenges and the cost / schedule factors associated with such challenges.
• Handling multiple job sites and demands while keeping a positive, result-focused attitude toward clients, sub-contractors and other company members.
• Strong management skills as role requires the ability to lead all aspects of the rig construction process and should be able to work closely with all involved.
• Proficient in the use of computer programs (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Access).
• Physically fit, able to travel world wide and work overtime when required, flexible attitude, be a team player
