Quantity Surveyor (MEP)

B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying from an accredited University, age 30 plus.
At least 5 yrs post graduate experience with minimum 2 yrs experience in the Gulf region (preferably Dubai) Operating within the Quantity Surveying/Contract Administration Department of the Contracting & Services Division of a leading local contractor/developer with interests that covers a wide spectrum of construction-oriented services, including electro-mechanical, concrete products, joinery & fit-out and metal fabrication, you will be working on a variety of prestigious projects throughout Dubai and the UAE operating in the electro-mechanical company and reporting directly to the Divisional Contracts Manager your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
-Review and verify all contract documentation between the companies and any other party, including subcontract agreements, purchase orders, joint venture agreements, MOUs etc.
-Prepare extension of time claims (including costs) for the companies.
-Produce in-house contracts documents for projects and agreements for employment of outside subcontractors.
-Prepare interim valuations and final accounts, in conjunction with the site project managers and engineers.
-Check and process subcontractor's payment certificates, and certify correctness of in-house payment applications. ]=
-Monitor and agree subcontractor's variations and claims (extension of time/loss and expense recovery) assessments.
-In consultation with the companies' construction managers - prepare responses to contractual correspondence received from third parties. Experience in Electro-Mechanical works would also be an advantage.
-Training on RICS procedures, CESMM7, SMM6, POMI applications & FEDIC conditions of contracts. Strong Engineering background.
Computer literate (MS Office & preferably Primavera P3). Valid UAE driving license.
