Overall Mission:
To ensure that all commercial and contractual matters relating to a specific project are properly actioned in accordance with the Contract documents and the Project Manager's requirements and company procedures. Report to the Commercial Manager through the Chief Quantity Surveyor.
Reporting to : Chief Quantity Surveyor
Key Responsibilities:
# Measurement recording and agreement.
# Identification of variations.
# External valuation-preparation and processing.
# Identifying and evaluating day works.
# Take-off Quantities of selected parts of the work as required by the P.M. and the material Engineer/Scheduler.
# Sub-contractor measurement and all feedback (required by main office Sr. Q.S)
# Report information to Commercial Manager in accordance with company Procedures or specific requirements.
# Liase with site team in regard to project matters.
# Ensure proper recording of all financial and contractual issues.
# Advise and assist Project Manager on financial and contractual issues.
# Process and agree final measurement.
Reports Generated:
# External valuation.
# Wastage report together with Claim/Variation report for monthly review.
# Over/Under Measure
# Internal valuation information.
# Sub-contractor liabilities and agreed measurement.
# Data for variation account and claim statement.
Reports & Information Received:
# Site record information as determined per project.
# Copy of Engineer's site diaries (as applicable)
# All relevant correspondence, M of M, SI, RF,I, CVI to enable records to be initialled.
# Subcontractor valuation.
Meetings to attend:
# As required by Project Manager and/or Area QS
Graduation in Civil or Quantity Surveying with 7 to 10 yrs experience in Civil Construction company.
