• As the Project Manager you will draw upon your considerable experience managing various sub projects, driving the schedule, ensuring key mile-stones are met and that your subordinates meet their own challenging objectives.
• Ensure that your project team functions efficiently and that our clients are updated on your progress, achievements and challenges.
• Leading and managing the Project Management Team (PMT) assigned for the new build project and coordinating the team’s internal (yard, site) and external activities in executing the project.
• Coordinate and schedule all aspects of the project as per Employer or Clients established project quality procedures and expectations.
• Evaluate efficiency of operations, plan and implement improvements, review construction program and assume direct responsibility for carrying out the construction programs.
• Prepare and issues project invoices to the client as per contract provisions to maximize positive cash-flow on the project.
• Review and process price quotes for additional work as needed (Change Orders - Variations).
• Preparation and issuance of Weekly and Monthly Reports to Client.
• Develop and prepare Project Presentations for weekly internal Management Meetings and monthly for the Clients as needed.
• Establishes performance and delivery criteria, ensuring that client and organizational requirements are being met; prepares project specifications, and coordinates procurement, as appropriate.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Fiscal aptitude to review and interpret project financial reports and ability to analyze project expenditures and forecasts.
• Ability to review and interpret designs, drawings and specifications when necessary.
• Knowledge of rig construction challenges and the cost / schedule factors associated with such challenges.
• Handling multiple job sites and demands while keeping a positive, result-focused attitude toward clients, sub-contractors and other company members.
• Strong management skills as role requires the ability to lead all aspects of the rig construction process and should be able to work closely with all involved.
• Proficient in the use of computer programs (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Access).
• Physically fit, able to travel world wide and work overtime when required, flexible attitude, be a team player
