Procurement Engineer

The desired candidate should have atlest 5 to 10 years of experience in related field.
Responsibilities:
Qualify in line with new qualification process suppliers for whom you are responsible
Qualification to take the form of process and manufacturing qualification
Responsible for all aspects of supplier quality
Responsible for the successful introduction of new parts/existing parts in line with the product development process
Must ensure that supplier quality meets the minimum standards set as per the guidelines from the procurement engineering manager/engineering managers and the Quality Manager
To drive six sigma and lean manufacturing principles within suppliers manufacturing and design process
To engage with SC NPI Group in ensuring that they are fully aware of all new programs and parts requirements early in the process and thus deliver all new parts on time
To resolve quality problems in real-time and cost effectively
To work with the Commodity buyers and so create commodity teams which will assume full responsibility for all supplier issues.
To complete other project work as required.
