You'll be responsible for design, sales, and implementation of converged networks including IP, ATM, Frame Relay, Gigabit Ethernet, VoIP, and Wireless based technologies. This position entails handling multiple simultaneous sales, design, and installation projects, which may include frequent travel and occasional weekend and after hours projects. Excellent time management skills are a must.
The position requires in-depth knowledge of LAN and WAN routing. You should be able to provide references demonstrating experience in the design of enterprise network routing architectures using protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, RIP and static routes. Knowledge of Quality of Service, IPSec, Multicast and load balancing techniques are also essential. Candidates must also be able to troubleshoot complex multi-vendor network issues in the LAN and WAN networks.
The desired candidate should have 5 to 7 years of experience in Pre and Post-Sales Network Engineer with a minimum Cisco CCNA/CCDA, CCNP preferred. The position will be located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Background in Cisco firewalls, VPNs, wireless and IP Telephony (CallManager) is a plus. Experience with Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 and Exchange 2000 are helpful but not essential. Job experience with a Value Added Reseller or other professional services organization is a very large plus.
Excellent analytical skills, organizational, time management and problem solving skills are essential. You will need excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to interact effectively with executives, engineers, sales people, vendors and peers.
Additional responsibilities include remote administration and problem resolution of customer networks. You will act as a Level 2 Support Engineer providing ongoing consulting and maintenance for Latitude Systems' Managed Services customers.
Minimum Technical Certification required: Cisco CCNA
Salary will be based on years of experience in the present field.
