Function/Role: to prepare the necessary estimate as part of the estimation team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
To be proficient in CCS estimating system and be able to price items from first principles.
To notify senior estimators of any risk areas.
To raise technical queries for inclusion in senior estimators request for clarification schedule.
To price worksheets using agreed outputs and equipment.
To ensure items are priced in accordance with the specification.
To arrange for the comparison of costs.
To arrange any quantity take offs and checking required.
Preparation of the direct costs as necessary to ensure timely completion of the estimate, particularly for any key areas of the project.
Self-motivation, construction & engineering knowledge, computer literacy, negotiation, management and communication skills.
International Construction company is looking for Estimating Engineer with Minimum 7 years experience in the construction Industry with 4 years in a structured estimating environment.
Education & Training:
Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Engineering; Masters Degree is a plus
Good computer skills ¿ Word, Excel, Spreadsheets
Reports To: Estimating Manager
Interfaces with: Senior Estimators and the other bid team members.
