On behalf of our clients within the wind power industry we are continuously looking for highly skilled consultants with experience from the wind power industry.
Project Engineer with experience from the wind power industry
Key responsibilities:
• Identify the various interfaces
• Involve the physical design of components and assemblies taking the parties involved/system needs and other module interface into account
• Ensure definition, agreement and locking of external interfaces and other interfaces with relevant parties involved
• Cost optimising and quality
• Engineering calculation and documentation
• Uncover root cause by hunting facts and data – never rely on assumptions
• Challenge conventional wisdom and obsolete traditions
• Be passionate about the process and the solution
• Facilitate common solutions
Interactions & responsibilities:
• Optimised component/module design focusing on robustness and reliability in accordance with quality, price and time of delivery
• Relevant calculations/data of the design, generate technical ideas/solutions and identify new technologies for the specific task
• Ensure that interference requirements with the neighbouring modules are accounted for
• Interact with purchasers/suppliers at various phases of design to obtain their input or constraints towards the design
• Initiating and participating in technical reviews at component and sub-system level
• Quality of technical solutions at the component level
• Component life cycle, including field performance and reliability
• Ensure that all 3D models fit 1:1 with real components
• Ensure that all components have company item numbers
• Influencing and driving business oriented knowledge development within the field, e.g. revising solutions/processes
Deliverables:
• Requirement specification
• Deliver BoM and production documentation
• DFMEA
• Coordinate test activities related to the module as well as assisting in prototype assembly
• Cost estimation and optimisation
Competences:
• Masters or Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent working experience
• 5+ years of experience from a similar position within the wind power industry
• Basic understanding of the wind turbine in general (requirements)
• Basic level skills in applied CAD system
• Experience with integrated product development
• Good data management skills
• Good understanding of product, installation and operating context and environment
• A structured, analytical and result-oriented way of working as well as attention to details and quality
• Good communication skills across the organisation, teamwork and planning of own work
• Fluent in English – verbally and written
