On behalf of our clients within the wind power industry we are continuously looking for highly skilled consultants with experience from the wind power industry.
Mechanical Designer with experience from the wind power industry
Key responsibilities:
• Design components according to the requirements
• Ensure definition, agreement and locking of external interfaces and order interfaces with other relevant parties involved (cooling, oil etc.)
• Engineering calculation and documentation
• Communication with Architecture Responsible and other parties involved
• Support to System and Module Owners in getting their components into the CAD system
• Specific knowledge within one of the following areas is required; cooling, fibre, glass, fire protection, safety equipment
Interactions & responsibilities:
• Ensure that all 3D models fit 1:1 with real components
• Ensure that all components have company item numbers
• Quality check of own work; high level collision check in CAD system, safety, production, assembly and service
• Check structural flawlessness of own CAD assemblies and parts
• Check that all parts fit in the ordered interfaces
• Consequence check when changing shapes and interfaces as well as “where used” across platforms and levels in CAD system
Deliverables:
• Deliver screen shots showing that all interfaces are fine
• Deliver BOM (bill of material) showing that all company designed items are in “production”
• 2D and 3D models of components according to ProE guidelines
Competences:
• Masters or Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent working experience
• 5+ years of experience from a similar position within the wind power industry
• High level skills in ProE
• Good communication skills across the organisation, teamwork and planning of own work
• Experience with integrated product development
• Detail-oriented as well as a systematic and analytical approach to work
• Fluent in English – verbally and written
