• You are responsible for management, development and planning of one or more activities of one large construction site; your first assignment will be to take care of the dredging works at the Mediterrannée, • You direct all aspects of the day-to-day execution of the project, and you monitor and coordinate work performed by superintendents and workmen;
• You lead, coach and manage several skilled and experienced site execution staff;
• You direct work sequencing to expedite project delivery and to minimize disruption of ongoing operations;
• You plan the resources;
• You implement and oversee the ISO & VCA norms;
• You select, audit and supervise subcontractors;
• You maintain regular contact with the customers or their representatives;
• You attend important site meetings;
• You report directly to the Project Manager on the progress and output of your own teams.
• You take care of the contractual and financial follow-up and budget control of your part of the project;
• You continuously look for opportunities to do things better and you anticipate problems. When a problem is detected you are able to solve it.
• You can deal with resistance and adversity and you act decisively in unexpected situations. You show personal accountability for decisions made and report spontaneously to senior level about the project progress.
• You generate new ways of working and help others to continuously improve the work process. You demonstrate personal commitment, perseverance and energy to achieve your goals until completion.
• You manage the activities of your team members, you motivate and coach them. You search and share knowledge in a wider professional community and network.
• You have a master degree in engineering, preferably in construction;
• You have minimum 5 or 10 years of experience within the international construction business with at least 3 years specifically on dredging projects;
• You are fluent in French and have a profound knowledge of Dutch and/or English;
• You are willing to work abroad.
