We are looking for a talented, dedicated, experienced individual with 5+ years of experience to join our team in Craiova as Senior Seat & Restraints System Engineer.
This position involves the following:
•Seat system (front & rear) concept definition for new vehicle programs, benchmarking of technology and suppliers (technology reviews, design competition)
•Lead target compatibility process (cost, function, weight, quality, …), set-up Target Agreement
•Attend Chair Seat PMST meetings (lead x-functional team to coordinate seat packaging and function)
•Project manage Seat suppliers, control supplier's status to targets
•Approval authority for seat design (FMEA, DVP, technology robustness), decide system level trade-offs, release designs in Ford WERS
•Prototype-build and launch leader for Body Seats.
•Team Value Management
Required skills for this position:
•Bachelor 's or Master's degree in Engineering
•Self-motivated with ability to lead x-functional teams
•Strong communication skills, particularly in summarizing and presenting findings to program management team
•Proficency in English
•Relevant project management experience
•Experience in vehicle interior package, vehicle safety and seat system engineering.
•Good Knowledge of real-world and regulatory crash modes in terms of seat performance and behavior during crash
•Knowledge of conducting business case analysis including engineering budget set-up
•Very good knowledge and experience with Ford systems (is a plus)
•Very good knowledge and experience in standard tools: FMEA, DVP, G8D, DoE, GD&T, failure mode avoidance (FMA)
•Capability to access CAD data via Digital Buck / VisMockup and utilize Digital Buck tools
•Relevant experience from at least one major vehicle program launch as a PMST launch leader.
