Cummins in Romania have an opportunity for an accomplished Quality Engineer. In this challenging role you are responsible to develop, maintain and improve quality system using Control Plan, PFMEA and other quality methodologies and tools. You report directly to the Quality Manager in Craiova.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns.
• Assist Quality manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system.
• Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen lean methods, etc.
• Develop training to build quality awareness.
• Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to Production of new products are in accordance with approved data.
• Interface with Design and Engineering Departments to ensure product modifications are in accordance with approved methodology.
• Participate in regular Customer meetings to present modifications and current status.
• Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
• Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions.
• Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.
• Responsible for planning, organizing and managing the overall activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions.
• Manage suppliers’ performance and conduct audits
Preparation of Quality reports.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors in Engineering or Business or equivalent by experience.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
•Solid experience in electrics or automotive manufacturing.
•Broad experience in Quality.
•Good experience in quality methodologies: PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP.
•Good experience in data analyses: SPC, CPk, etc.
•Good ISO/TS quality system knowledge.
•Excellent Communication skills English and Romanian language.
•Excellent computer skills.
•Six Sigma certification or tools is preferred
•Interpersonal skills, relationship building
•Someone who takes a lot of initiative
