Cummins Generator Technologies in Craiova, Romania, have created an exciting automotive engineering position for a Mechanical Engineer. Reporting to the Mechanical Design Team Leader you will be responsible for elaborating mechanical design for the standard products from the fabrication plan of CGT Craiova and for the new products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•To follow the requirements according to documentation
- Prepare the documentation in standard required timing in accordance with time necessary for purchasing materials and delivery in time;
- Immediate implementation of requests and modifies transmitted by the customer according with the processes and procedures;
- Plan the execution of mechanical design for orders received according with priorities collaborating with the team leader;
- Analyze problems appearing in the documentation or the manufacturing process and clarify and decide the solutions together with team members or direct superior;
- Execute the documentation for established orders according to priorities, at a quality level that can eliminate stops or dysfunctions in the manufacturing flow;
- Execute with priority the offer projects or new orders activity;
- Train and evaluate all the new team members at the team leader request;
- Apply, respect and assure that the documentation is executed according to standards mentioned by the client or by the authorities;
- Analyse nonconformity reports, give technical solutions and decide modifications for documentation or not, in respect to actual procedures of both the quality and the functionality of the products;
- Propose solutions for performance improvements;
- Offer technical support in production activities when necessary;
- Collaborates with all departments of the company or other locations when necessary.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
(Electro) Mechanical Engineering education
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Fluent in English and Romanian
- Fundamental knowledge of mechanics
- High skills in mechanical design using 3D software, preferable ProEngineer
- Preferable good skills in design validation using ANSYS
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Knowledge of Autocad
