- Perform the detailed design of application and technical architecture components.
- Develop common test data.
- Configure, build, and test the application or technical architecture components.
- Work with other programmers, designers, and architects to make sure that the configuration and custom components meet application requirements and performance goals.
- Follow good security coding practices to ensure the application is free of most common coding vulnerabilities.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Inform the technical architect and project manager of any issues that may affect any other areas of the project.
- Participate in transitions of the application or technical architecture components to the testers.
- Fix any defects and performance problems discovered in testing.
- Document the application to facilitate maintenance.
- Operating systems: Windows 9x/2000/XP
- Analysis and Design: UML or equivalent
- Project developing: Windows and Web Forms, business logic layer, database administration (table design, stored procedures, packages, jobs, user permissions)
- Programming Languages: C, C++, C# (VisualS .NET), VB (VisualS .NET)
- Scripting Languages: JScript, VBScript, HTML, CSS
- Programming Environments: Visual Studio .NET (Framework 1.1 and 2.0)
- Database systems: High understanding of the relational and multidimensional model, SQL entity-relationship diagrams, relational and multidimensional database design; MS SQL Server 2000; Oracle 9i, 10g;
- DB design and manag. tools: MS SQL Server integrated tool, MS MySql 4.0, SQL, PL/SQL, TOAD
- Reporting: Oracle reports, MS Visual Studio 2005 – Client Report Definition (.rdlc)
- Application/Web Servers: Internet Information Services, Oracle AS 10g
- Software management: MS Visual Source Safe, MS Team Foundation Server (integrated tool in MS Visual Studio 2005)
- English reading and writing skills are essential, as well as a high level of competency in speaking and understanding spoken English and Italian will be preferred.
- Strong problem solving skills: able to logically break down a
problem into smaller manageable parts to solve; committed in finding the most efficient and fastest solution.
- General organizational abilities, management of Client documentation
- Ability to work independently with minimal assistance on assigned tasks
- Good interpersonal ability and propensity to join an extended project team
