Naval Architect:
- Development of vessel arrangements.
- Determination of hydrostatic and hydrodynamic characteristics of vessels.
- Intact & Damage Stability analysis for both Commercial & Military craft as well as development of loading conditions for new build vessels.
- Stability assessment of craft subject to significant modification
- Development, review and approval of outfitting, fire protection and safety arrangements.
Marine Engineer:
- Development of marine system P&IDs, machinery layouts, equipment and material specifications.
- Preparation of the marine engineering sections of the tender specification to go out to shipyards.
- Pipework system design, material and equipment specifications for submission and approval by the client and classification society, liaison with the client and sub-contractors as necessary.
- Specifying and requisitioning the main and auxiliary machinery and designing the associated systems fitted on naval and merchant ships.
Electrical Engineer:
- Design, specification, requisitioning and co-ordination of electrical aspects of ship main propulsion, auxiliary and hull machinery surveillance and control systems from pre-contract to ship acceptance, including meetings with Owners and Sub-contractors.
- All aspects of Ships Electrical Systems, specialising in the production of System Block Diagrams from ships specifications and sub contractors information including Control & Instrumentation and power requirements.
- Production of detailed schematic and wiring diagrams for a wide range of electrical systems.
Structural Engineer:
- Production of structural design drawings through to detailed structural shop drawings for Marine and Offshore Projects.
- FE Analysis of structures.
- Design and analysis of equipment shock mountings
- Preparation of structural design drawings and associated calculations.
- Production and checking of steelwork, shop drawings for various vessels
- Production of scantling drawings and associated calculations to classification society rules, design and detail of steelwork unit drawings, material requisitioning and coding, heavy lift arrangements, welding specifications etc
Outfit Engineer:
- Production of detailed design drawings for outfit, main and minor steelwork and accommodation arrangements.
- Review and approval of outfitting arrangements, fire protection & safety requirements, SOLAS, client and classification society compliance of shipyard drawings.
- Responsible for various design calculations and drawings from concept, through feasibility to build and final presentation of documentation to various approval organisations.
