Initially, your work will be based around supporting a team as they work for a wide variety of clients. Much of the work is carried out at clients premises, so some degree of travel should be expected as part of the job. On a day-to-day basis, some of the typical tasks you would be involved in might include:
- Obtaining financial information from different parts and personnel within a company in order perform various tax computation.
- Dealing with queries raised during the course of the information-gathering process.
- Dealing with queries from clients as a result of frequent changes in the legislation which might impact the business.
- Researching plans and strategies to reduce tax liability for clients.
- Ability to communicate accurately and efficiently in English (Advanced level)
- University graduate or final year student preferably in Economics or Law
- One or two years experience within an accounting firm would be an advantage
- Self-motivated person, eager to acquire experience and build a career in a professional environment and with a strong team work spirit
