JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Senior Process Technician (FPSO)

Salary: US$ 180 / Day

Rotation: 42 days on / 42 days off

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out the operation of process plant and production related equipment safely and efficiently, under the direction of CCR Operator and Production Supervisor.

Principle Functions of the Position:
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of process plant, systems and associated equipment during the shift, and to ensure proper hand overs during shift change.
- Start up, operate and shut down process and process-related plant, gas injection, water treatment and gas systems etc. as required or under the direction of the CCR Operator and Production Supervisor.
- Operate:
~ The FCS system;
~ Well control equipment and panel;
~ Process and process-related valving;
~ Optimize production as instructed.
- Monitor the correct functioning of plant equipment and instrumentation.
- Make adjustments to production streams and well streams.
- Assist as required:
~ Contractor personnel
~ Maintenance Department.
- Carry out work in a safe and responsible manner, in compliance with:
~ MODEC?s Safety and corporate Management Systems (FMS/SMS/Case/Safety).
~ Production operations procedures.
- Ensure that the PTW and Area Authority system is adhered to PTW Level 3.
- Expected to be familiar with MODEC HSE Policies, understand emergency response duties, and ensure that the FPSO Waste Management Plan is being followed.
- Learn CCR Position

Safety Critical Functions
- Provide the Process Superintendent or Production Supervisor with information during an emerQencv and assist with emerQencv response as per procedures and instructions.

- Good standard of literacy (English language) and mathematical skills
- Technical apprenticeship to City & Guilds for an equivalent training scheme
- MODEC Competency Based Training - Emergency Response Training
- MODEC Competency Based Training - H&S and Working Relationship Units
- Offshore Survival with HUET
- Fire Team
- Permit to Work - Level 3

Experience Factors
- Minimum 1 year of offshore experience.
- Minimum 4 years experience as an operator I technician for high-pressure hydrocarbon process plant.
- Previous FPSO experience.
- Control Room Operations.


Demonstrated Knowledge / Skills
- Ability to work as part of a small multi-discipline team and to motivate others.
- Knowledge of mechanical, instrument and electrical systems.
- Understanding of the purpose of control systems and the causes and effects of significant alarm trips.
- Knowledge of the PTW system and risk assessment procedures.
- Thorough understanding of production operations, including:
~ Principle of all hydrocarbon systems and their safety critical interfaces and dependencies;
~ Process shutdown logic and its effects;
~ Methods and consequences of isolation and depressurization;
~ Consequences of process upset and process troubleshooting;
~ Purpose of the major wellhead and wellhead completion components;
~ Hazards associated with pipelines;
~ Simultaneous operations;
~ ConseQuences of loss of containment.
