JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Process Technician (FPSO)
Salary: US$ 120 / Day
Rotation: 42 days on / 42 days off
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out the operation of process plant and production related equipment safely and efficiently, under the direction of the Senior Process Technician and Production Supervisor.
COMPETENCE CRITERIA
Academic Achievements / Certifications
- Good standard of literacy (English language) and mathematical skills
- Technical apprenticeship to City & Guilds for an equivalent training scheme
- MODEC Competency Based Training - Processing Operations - Hydrocarbons - Level 2 or 3 (as appropriate)
- MODEC Competency Based Training - Emergency Response Training
- MODEC Competency Based Training - Safety culture Units
- Offshore Survival with HUET
- Fire Team
- Permit to Work - Level 3
- Production Swivel
Experience Factors
- Minimum 1 year of offshore experience.
- Minimum 4 years experience as an operator / technician for high-pressure hydrocarbon process plant.
- Previous FPSO experience.
- Control Room Operations.
Demonstrated Knowledge / Skills
- Ability to work as part of a small multi-discipline team and to motivate others.
- Knowledge of mechanical, instrument and electrical systems.
- Understanding of the purpose of control systems and the causes and effects of significant alarm trips.
- Knowledge of the PTW system and risk assessment procedures.
- Good understanding of production operations, including:
~ Principle of all hydrocarbon systems and their safety critical interfaces and dependencies;
~ Process shutdown logic and its effects;
~ Methods and consequences of isolation and depressurization;
~ Consequences of process upset and process troubleshooting;
~ Purpose of the major wellhead and wellhead completion components;
~ Hazards associated with pipelines;
~ Simultaneous operations;
~ Consequences of loss of containment.
