About the project:
You will be joining a team of 20 developers, 3-4 leads, 6 QA people with a back-end skills and front-end skills ratio of 4:1. The technologies you will be in contact with are not limited to: JAVA; PLSQL; SOAP, Google Search Appliance and SEO, SVN/ GIT, Confluence/ Greenhopper, JIRA, SCRUM, Selenium, QTP,
Responsibilities:
*Contributes to plannnig, developing and running manual and web based tests, specifying and preparing test environments, in order to verify systems against requirements specifications and technical designs;
*Reviewes and updates documentation, and undertakes other tasks within a wider quality assurance and risk control remit as directed by the team lead.
*Understands the purpose, architecture and dependencies of systems under test based on specification documentation, and communication with stakeholder, other testers and developers.
*Is aware of the system and project risk, and how it affects the level of testing reassurance required.
*Actively contributes to a positive team spirit.
FLEXIBLE, DECENT, INTELLIGENT, WORKING PERSON WHO CAN FIND MOTIVATION IN WHAT HE/SHE DOES
*About 12 to 18 months of testing experience
*Fairly good background in UAT, functional testing or webservices
*Understanding of web technologies, such as HTML/ CSS/ JavaScript/ XML/ HTTP Protocol, Soap UI, REGEX.
*Some experience in any of scripting languages, such as JavaScript, Ruby, Pythoon, Windows and/or Unix shell scripting is a plus
*Experience with SQL or any of the common database query tools.
*Familiar with Selenium based automation frameworks or similar (QTP for example) is a plus
*Undertstanding and some experience with Linux and Windows
The ideal candidate will be trainable and willing to learn from mistakes
*Some experience developing and scripting from test specifications
*Good writing and communication skills
*Good interpersonal skill set with a self-starting attitude, team-player, and flexibility. A fast learner (new system and test equipment applications) and high degree of creativity and initiative is expected
*Willing to work in and adapt to a fast paced, dynamic and team oriented environment
*Problem solving skills
*Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field.
