We are looking for a dedicated, self-motivated, driven technical professional to work in a team of engineers developing mobile applications with high availability using J2ME, Html/Css/Javascript and other internet technologies.
The successful candidate will have exceptional technical and problem solving skills, with a positive, results driven attitude.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
- Review product specifications in order to give development estimates and product feedback.
- Innovative technical design and creative of technical specifications.
- Work in an Agile environment.
- Software creation, adhering to and feeding back into departmental standards and guidelines.
- Technical documentation that shares knowledge effectively.
- Self learning is considered to be a plus.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
Key Working Relationships:
- This position involves working with and been part of a cross-skilled development team, and will have regular contact with teams looking after other aspects of Betfair products & tools.
Experience & Qualifications Required:
Essential:
- HTML, CSS, Javascript is a must
- Knowledge about cross-browser problems
- Ajax is a good to know thing as the projects will evolve later
- At least 2 years experience.
Desirable:
- Java (Servlet/JSP)
- Experience with JSF, Struts or other web framework is considered to be a plus if the above are met
- XHTML, WML, WCSS, mobile Ajax is considered to be a plus
- Working experience with mobile platforms (iPhone, Android)
- Experience on creating mobile-friendly websites and adapting of content to the capabilities of different devices.
- Understanding of the full development cycle and some experience of Agile development methodologies (SCRUM, XP).
