- Establish and improve the translation production work flow process
- Test, learn & teach others new translation tools (commercial tools & internally made tools)
- Support the internal & external teams using these tools
- Implement new technical solutions in a semi-automatic production line
- Very good hands-on knowledge of several different translation memory tools (at least the 3 main different tools available on the market today)
- Excellent conceptual knowledge of various types of translation processes
-Up to date with new or improved technologies: auto-propagate, auto-suggest, perfect match, XU, QuickPlace and knowledgeable about what they actually mean for a translator or a post-editor
- Some basic knowledge about QA and QC tools & techniques
- Having worked with MT output before (any type is OK)
- Good text search skills (full text search, regex, concordance)
- Having worked with pipeline tools before (commercial or open source) or with sequencing tools
- Familiar with XML formats (TMX, XLIFF, TBX) and being able to use XSLT on them for preview & filtering
- Being able to create SRX files for all languages
- Good level of English (listen, speak, read, write)
- Having worked in a translation team before
Useful assets:
- Excellent knowledge on Word & Excel
- Being able to write SQL queries
- Some scripting (python, perl, lua, real basic) or development (java, c#, ) experience
- Conceptual knowledge on client-server applications, cloud computing, virtual machines, sandbox testing
- Translation Memory maintenance
