For EMERSON's EGS-Appleton Division in the Cluj-Napoca Manufacturing Campus we are currently looking for results driven STRATEGIC PURCHASING SPECIALIST.
- Maintain and track material and supply levels and communicate what is required, ordered and received;
- Purchase and negotiate materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors;
- Find and implement major material cost reductions for EGS Europe;
- Manage all aspects of material cost reduction projects including tooling tracking and transfer, inventory hedges, schedules, etc;
- Analyze changes or new issues in materials and supply to reduce costs and improve quality;
- Evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers;
- Maintain an accurate Purchasing and Receiving System;
- Maintain and distribute in a timely manner the Invoice Schedule;
- Follow and administer company rules, regulations and policies.
- Technical University degree or Business University degree with a strong technical knowledge base;
- 3+ years experience as a Strategic Purchaser;
- Manufacturing experience preferred;
- Fluency in French; Good knowledge of English;
- Possess strong negotiating skills and a working knowledge of supplies inventory monitoring, sourcing, expediting, and inventory records;
- Have the ability to interact with all levels of management, production associates, suppliers, and customers;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- PC skills: ERP systems, Ms Office, Internet, e-mailers.
