- Lead the analysis and design of specific components of a large scale distributed computing system.
- Implement and document APIs and provide training to client developers.
- Adapt or implement tools/frameworks to support functional and non functional tests happening at the Java API levels and at the GUI level.
- Work with Product Management, Architecture, Scrum Master, QA team on packaging, design, automated build/testing, and deployment.
- Work closely with Development team throughout entire development process to understand and resolve issues;
- Develop Test Plan and Test case definition/design using requirements and technical specifications, integrate them together to provide a consolidated test execution and a reporting tied to Quality Center
- Run functional and performance testing using developed tools/frameworks ¿¿¿ on the needed basis
- +4 relevant of programming experience.
- Good Java, Linux and MySQL skills, experience in Lucene and various distributed file systems and clustering technologies, multi-threading application development and network programming
- Demonstrated ability to use all skills in a team setting; be proactive, cooperative and flexible
- Communication skills both written and verbal. Fluent in English, both in spoken and written form
- Be pragmatic and willing to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools
- Experience in the entire development life cycle of at least one highly scalable and fault tolerant distributed system ¿¿¿ it¿¿¿s a plus
- Knowledge of development methodologies like Agile Scrum; understand both the development and testing standpoints ¿¿¿ it¿¿¿s a plus
- BSc or MSc higher in software engineering or related discipline
