Designing and enhancing functionality for existing applications with some refactoring of the existing code-base
Estimate software development tasks to within predictable variances given specified functional and business requirements
Accountable for the quality, performance and adherence to specification of their assigned development tasks
Perform code review sessions with other developers and suggest improvements or alternate strategies when appropriate
Develop software in a hands-on capacity by writing code in C#, C++ and Borland C++ Builder on Windows
Develop Installations for products using InstallShield; both install script and Basic MSI
Reports to client’s Project Manager
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science; Master’s degree a plus
(Preferred) Certifications in Microsoft technologies
3+ years hands-on experience in the Information Technology industry, specifically related to software design and development, database design and development, and system integration
3+ years hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies, specifically: Windows API, COM/DCOM and ADO
3+ years of programming experience with C++, C# on Windows using Visual Studio development tools
Object Oriented Programming / Object Oriented Design (OOP/OOD) experience
Experience in full-life cycle development
(preferred) Experience with .Net development, ASP.Net development, C#, XML, SOAP, Web Services and SQL Server
Keeps abreast of developments in industry & in the evolving software technologies
Experience with Borland C++ Builder on Windows using VCL is a plus
Experience with Installshield is a plus
(preferred) Experience with .Net development, C#, XML and SQL
