Your contribution to something big:
• Responsible for creating software architectural design within the project and customer cluster
• Specify software design requirements for software unit level on customer project related software (for example, embedded systems)
• Development of data/functional models within complex problem structures and the definition of parameter and data structures
• Development of software design by taking into account a variety of existing functions and dependencies to other program systems
• Create safety analysis report and dependent failure analysis
• Review software integration test specification
• Assist the software project manager in technical aspects
• Prepare the required documentation (for example specifications, guidelines for developed system and support functions, review of development steps, description of the change status)

The Electric Power Steering team develops embedded software for the latest generation steering systems used in passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, enhancing steering comfort and driving safety through a flexible system. The engineers work in customer projects and are involved in the full product development cycle using state of the art technologies and complying with the latest standards from the automotive industry.
We are currently looking for a Software Architect to be part of our innovative Power Steering team in Cluj.

What distinguishes you:
• Technical oriented university degree (computer science, electrical engineering, automation, telecommunication, informatics, mathematics or comparable)
• Good software development experience and preferably 4-5 years experience as software architect in software development for embedded systems
• Process training “Software project v4.0”
• Knowledge of review techniques & methods and experience in performing reviews
• Knowledge of software architecture design (incl. safety analyses & dependent failure analyses)
• Experience with software design methods & tools
• Knowledge of UML
• Experience with ClearCase, Doors, ClearQuest, CAN and FlexRay communication protocols, MATLAB, Simulink, State Flow, CANape
• Advanced English; German or other language skills are an advantage
