You will have the opportunity to work together with the world’s leading payments brand - a global payments technology company that connects consumers, businesses, banks and governments in more than 200 countries and territories, enabling them to use electronic payments instead of cash and checks. The Client has built one of the world’s most advanced processing networks. It’s capable of handling more than 20,000 transactions per second, with reliability, convenience and security, including fraud protection for consumers and guaranteed payment for merchants.
You will be part of a project delivering a key milestone in the future of online payments. You will develop a web application that will be used by millions of people around the world, whenever they make an online purchase. Your code will be responsible for streamlining the way people buy goods and services, allowing them to use digital versions of their credit cards in a safe, user friendly way, while maintaining the highest standards of payments security. You will:
• Develop software systems; you will participate in logical and physical design of the product and understand the business requirements.
• Establish sound solutions based on industry best practices.
• Implement application tier changes to meet client requirements.
• Solve complex technical problems that other team members may encounter.
• Work in a team environment in supporting the team goals, and improving web development engineering practices.
• Analyze and optimize pages and page design for maximum performance.
• Develop and test features.
• Contribute to the Agile process.
• Occasionally you can be involved in geographically distributed projects and you will have to work for short periods of time at clients sites: UK (London) mainly.
You should have:
• Good knowledge and experience in Web Development, application design and technologies such as JSF, AJAX, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS (relevant hands on experience);
• Knowledge of Java frameworks;
• Knowledge of Content Management Systems;
• Good knowledge of Agile Development, Scrum Methodology.
You could have:
• Knowledge of CI and collaboration tools (e.g. Jenkins, RTC);
• Knowledge of TDD and BDD practices;
• Experience with commercial applications, within the financial domain;
• Experience with or knowledge: HTML5, WebSphere, Apache Geronimo.
