Analyze Product Requirements, Documents and Functional Specifications to create detailed test plans/test cases;
Anticipate problems or issues that may arise, forecast high risk areas in software;
Work closely with Development team throughout entire development process to understand and resolve issues;
Establish collaborative relationships with Project Managers and Software Development Engineers to ensure success of project test phases;
Implement automated API testing and performance testing;
Provide timely and meaningful test result updates to team;
Provide resource/time estimates for all testing activities;
Create Certification reports.
For one of our clients, the world leader in mobility, driving the transformation and growth of the converging Internet and Communications industries, we are looking for a Senior Engineer, Test Automation/QA
Requirements:
Familiarity with the software development life cycle and a working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies;
Experience using defect tracking system;
Experience creating test plans, test cases
Experience with white box, black box, functional, regression, performance, and ad-hoc testing;
Experience with test automation tools, scripted testing;
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field;
5+ yrs professional QA experience;
Unix/Windows knowledge;
Experience testing in J2EE and/or .NET technology platforms;
Able to comprehend project goals/requirements;
Experience in wireless technology industry desirable (i.e. SMS, WAP, MMS, Java/BREW, etc);
Experience with quality analysis methodologies such as Six Sigma desired but not required.
