We are in search of full-time RPG programmers (not a project-based position) to join a long-term project, for one of our key clients in the USA market.
RPG is a high-level programming language (HLL) for business applications. Originally the initials stood for Report Program Generator, but currently it is referred to only as "RPG".
The position involves responsibilities such as designing, developing, maintaining and documenting iSeries DB2, RPG-based programs.
There is a good potential to scale up the project and increase the team in the near future. Also, opportunity can arise for the project team, to work on-site, at the clients' headquarters in USA for a limited period of time.
Essential knowledge, skills and experience:
* Strong Knowledge of AS/400, RPG, DB2, SQL.
* Ability in using AS / 400 utilities (PDM, SEU).
* Know-how in programing on CL.
* Experience with design, creation and implementation in multiple AS/400 RPG/CL environments
* Experience with iSeries
* Experience working in an dynamic environment
* Team lead experience (minim 2 years)
* Fluent English Language skills
* Strong analytical skills
* Understanding the entire software design, development and deployment life cycle
* The candidates must have a BSc. Degree in Computers' Science or IT related field
