Adecco recruits an R & D engineer based in Cluj-Napoca (relocation package if necessary).
Our client is a global telecommunications leader and the Services and Software unit is the growth engine for his business. The Development and Delivery team is the R&D arm of Services and Software who creates a combined device and internet experience managing the technology architecture and discovering new innovative technologies.
An R & D Engineer, will have to:
- work with the core R&D team members, UI experts, front/back-end engineers, QA team members and other business units to develop a high quality user experience,
- work according to given tasks, along with the product development process as well as the existing design instructions,
- solve moderate to complex Web development problems,
- carry out semi routine tasks of moderate complexity requiring some discretion and judgment,
- carry out tasks/activities according to assignment and set guidelines,
Moderate degree of supervision and coaching needed.
- about 5-8 years Web applications development preferred.
- demonstrated hands-on experience in JavaScript, Flash/ActionScript 2.0+, AJAX, JSON, XML parser, HTML/CSS, DOM and W3C standards.
- solid understanding in Object Oriented Programming methodology, Singleton and MVC design patterns.
- ability to develop code in compliant with difference Web/Mobile browsers.
- a solid understanding and solving cross-browser/cross-platform issues.
- experience working with the development environments such as BEA WebLogic Server, Sun Java Web System Server, Apache, Tomcat, Oracle, Eclipse, Subversive, Velocity Template and/or any CMS (like Documentum, Magnolia, etc).
- understanding Web security issues such as XSS, CSRF and JavaScript hijacking a plus.
- knowledge of using front-end development tools such as Adobe Flash/Flex, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe FireWorks and/or Adobe Dreamweaver a plus.
- experience with Localization/Globalization techniques a plus.
- experience in Agile and SCRUM SDLC methodologies a plus.
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering disciplines needed.
