As a Performance Software Test Engineer, the successful candidate will be involved in the early stages of the software product development lifecycle with the Product Management and Development Engineering Teams.
The goal for the person is this position will be to ensure that each performance product specifications/requirements are accurate and testable. The contribution to the overall execution of performance/scalability requrements from Nokia???s software Product Requirement Documents will help us to produce the quality products that are the foundation of our success.
Responsabilities:
-Performance/scalability/availability test plans, performance/scalability/availability tests execution using industry standard techniques as well as our own proprietary performance testing tools
-The tasks will include test our sync software with devices thus knowledge of different devices (Symbian and other smart phones) will be a plus
-Design, implement and execute performance/scalability test cases and scenarios based on product functionalities and system specifications using modern performance testing techniques/tools
-Participate in software development and testing process impovement activities
-Maintain clear and effective communications with Technical Support, Service Delivery (Customer Care & Engineering Services), Product Management and Development Engineering
Position Requirements:
- At least 3-4 years experience in a software engineering organization
- Experience with modern testing methods and techniques (especially performance testing/automated testing experience)
- Software testing experience with products to be sold commercially, not limited to internal IT support systems
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Analytical/problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Very good English language communication skills
-Understanding of performance and scalability testing; Any experience with different performance testing tools is a plus
-Knowledge of networking concepts is also helpful
Working experience with Unix Oss such as Solaris, Linux
Working experience with the following database platform: Oracle, My SQL
Working experience with Oracle and Java Application Servers like Bea Weblogic, Apache Tomcat
Programming skills: Java, Bash Scripting
Any working experience and knowledge of internetworking concepts, TCP/IP, network addressing, and subnet masks is a plus
Working experience with JMeter tool would be a plus
BA/BS degree Computer Science or Engineering with high academic performance
