We are looking for a dedicated, self motivated, highly skilled Quality Assurance professional to join our team of engineers building high-end, high quality applications.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator who is capable of interacting with both technical and non-technical people. They will also be able to quickly develop a detailed knowledge of the applications being tested.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
- Write, execute and maintain manual and automated test suites
- Define innovative approach to test execution, combining technical and manual
- Ensure integrity, validity, testability of all product specifications
- Analyze software product and development process and provides input for decisions regarding the actions to be taken to ensure and enforce product quality
- Challenge user stories in order to generate test cases
- Continuously strive to improve the efficiency and coverage of the QA processes
Key Working Relationships:
- This position involves working with and been part of a cross-skilled engineering team, and will have regular contact with teams looking after other aspects of Betfair products & tools
Experience & Qualifications Required:
Essential:
- Proven proficiency on defining test plans, test cases, and test suites based on business requirements and functional specifications
- Good understanding of software quality processes and methodologies
- Knowledge of unit testing technique
- Knowledge of programming languages and programming concepts
- Browser and server side test automation
- Able to accurate estimate assigned tasks
- Team player, able to interact with other functional teams
- Capable of self coordination and task oriented
- Good communication and time management skills
- At least 3 years experience
Desirable:
- Proven experience in writing unit tests and drive test automation and framework developmentRelevant experience of testing transactional web sites
- Experience (knowledge) of different software development methods
- Relevant experience of testing transactional web sites.
- Capacity to analyze problems to their root cause in order to identify problems in design or implementation
