For one of our clients, the world leader in mobility, driving the transformation and growth of the converging Internet and communications industries, we are looking for QA Line Manager.
Responsabilities:
Leading, and motivating a team of QA Engineers;
Involving in the early stages of the software product development lifecycle with the Product Management and Development Engineering Teams;
Leading the testing for the correctness, completeness, usability and performance of company’s product releases along with test design, test implementation and test execution using industry standard techniques;
Participating to design meetings for new features;
Planning the test strategies;
Taking a proactive approach on learning and educating himself and the team in new and emerging technologies and also testing types and strategies;
Representing and reporting progress towards the milestones;
Designing, implementing and executing test cases and scenarios based on product functional and system specifications using modern testing techniques;
Defining, designing and developing software test systems that continually enhance the testing process;
Participating in software development and testing process improvement activities;
Maintaining clear and effective communications with Technical Support, Professional Services, Product Management and Development Engineering.
Software testing experience with products to be sold commercially, not limited to internal IT support systems or at least 4 years work experience in a Software Company/department;
At least 1-2 years of experience as a lead / manager of a team of 4 people minimum;
Highly motivated self-starter;
BA/BS degree Computer Science or Engineering with high academic performance;
Analytical/problem solving skills;
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written);
Excellent English language communication skills;
Desirable Experience:
Experience with modern testing methods and techniques;
Familiarity with at least one of the following database platforms: Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, SQL Anywhere, DB/2;
Any programming skills with C++, Java, Python or PERL is highly desirable;
Experience testing and using any of the following PDA platforms (Windows Mobile, Symbian OS, Palm OS or RIM BlackBerry) ;
Some travel outside of the country may be required.
