The main purpose of the Project Coordinator is to lead and manage a team of linguistic collaborators and acting as a central point of contact for the project team and external suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Managing and coordinating all aspects of the project flow
- Promoting a collaborative team environment that fosters creativity & innovation
- Providing visibility to team status & issues to senior management
- Creating, writing professional reports
- Takes responsibility for teams results
- Keeps track of all internal and external resources, manages costs against budgets
- Supports and inspires the team members to fulfill their tasks
- Promoting a collaborative way of work inside the team
- Contribute to project initiation
Absolute Requirements:
- Have 3 years of experience with project coordination of a technically complex service with a strict due date and which involves QC before delivery
- Being able to work independently
- Being able to see and analyze problems and find creative but efficient solutions
- Very good in working with people even when they are all remote
- Being able to cover the full admin flow: PO generation, validation of receivables, due date checking, DOA, QC, rejection, invoicing, reporting and so on.
- Software:
- Be very fluent with Outlook (mail, calendar, tasks)
- Be very fluent with Excel (creating Excel files from scratch to calculate budget, progress)
- Being able to communicate (listen, speak, read, write) in English
Ideally:
- Know local & native translators (have a network of freelancers)
- Know how to calculate job cost in different ways
- Know difference between translation, post editing & review
- Have some vendor management skills
- Software:
- Know how to read log files of localization tools (100% matches, perfect matches, XU, repetitions???)
- Know how to pre-translate repetitions (actually do it hands-on himself with at least one tool)
- Having worked on a central jobs or workflow application before (Beetext, Synergy, LTC, James???)
- Know how to create work break down structure in MS Project and calculate the critical path.
