Job context and your role inside the team:
This new direction that your career path could follow and that we invite you to analyze, has several coordinates:
- The job opening is the result of a collaboration with a strong multinational company – leader in web software engineering.
- The sites developed and managed by this company are based on PHP/MySQL and JavaScript/Ajax. As a global picture, we are referring to around 100 sites developed in 4 major versions. The communication between these sites and the database is ensured in real-time, using RFID. The final dedicated teams will include PHP specialists, as well as Java experienced engineers.
- The main project involves integrated solutions of geo-localization, using GPS and GSM services on a web platform. The main purpose is an efficient traveling and transportation service that addresses thousands of end-users.
- The project involves development tasks for an entire team of specialists, regarding the applications that: allow the exploitation of the system database, back-office as well as front-office, web or mobile, the interfaces with the end-users.
If you already consider that this challenge is worth analyzing, here are the core responsibilities you will have as a PHP Software Developer:
- Suggesting technical solutions in a constant and proactive approach, inside a team of various specialists;
- Good argumentative skills regarding the advantages and the limitations of a solution. As a teamwork result, this should concern the development languages, frameworks and practical use environment (meaning the compatibility with different navigators and mobile access), as well as servers and other influencing aspects;
- Writing technical specifications;
- Software development;
- Ensuring bug-fixing and maintenance;
- Ensure proper reporting.
- Very good PHP and MySQL programming knowledge – minimum 4 years of experience mandatory;
- Strong JavaScript/Ajax knowledge required;
- Zend or Simphony framework knowledge is considered an advantage;
- JQuery knowledge is a plus;
- iPhone or Android knowledge is also a plus;
- English fluency – mandatory; French is a plus;
