JOB ROLE:
We are seeking an exceptional leader for the team of developers located in Cluj. The primary focus of the Software Development Manager is to ensure we rapidly develop high quality software components by applying cutting edge software engineering practices. His/Her role will be to oversee the team of developers who design, develop and maintain several applications for the projects assigned by local and international top management.
SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establishes and drives project schedule, review and analysis, monitoring all critical paths related to key deliverables;
- Provides resource planning and identifies interdependencies;
- Ensures sound engineering design, process and quality practices are followed;
- Delegates tasks to, organizes, mentors and motivates a team of talented software developers;
- Makes sure the team is clear on goals and objectives;
- Identifies areas for employee improvement and ensures that appropriate training is available for employees;
- Conducts regular review with local and international top management on projects progress and risk assessment;
- Proposes resolution alternatives in the delivery of complex, cross organizational and technologically challenging projects.
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Is responsible for organizing and coordinating office operations and procedures in order to ensure local branch effectiveness and efficiency;
- Organises and supervises all of the administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of an office;
- Organises the office layout and maintains supplies of stationery and equipment;
- Maintains the condition of the office and arranges for necessary repairs;
- Oversees the recruitment of new staff, sometimes including training and induction;
- Authorizes and ensures the correctness of attendance, working hours, holidays, sick leave;
- Approves time sheets;
- Ensures adequate staff levels to cover for absences and peaks in workload.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Very good Java/J2EE and/or .NET architect skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Managerial skills in addition to a strong business and technical vision;
- Team leading experience;
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent;
- At least 3 years deep hands-on technical expertise in software development, having strong product development and engineering skills;
- A deep understanding of software development in a team and a track record of shipping software on time;
- Good understanding of the software business and its practices;
- Good organizational and time management skills;
- Excellent English language skills. German/Hungarian language skills are considered a plus;
- Willing to travel.

The salary package will be directly related to the candidate's skills and experience.
