We are looking for a dedicated, self-motivated, driven technical professional to work in a team of engineers developing for and feature-improving a highly available product using Java technologies and Html/Css/Javascript/Spring web MVC for our partner, Betfair.

The successful candidate will have exceptional technical and problem solving skills, with a positive, results driven attitude.
Review product specifications in order to give development estimates and product feedback.
Innovative technical design and creative of technical specifications.
Thorough, demonstrable test driven development.
Code reviews, by and for peers.
Software creation, adhering to and feeding back into departmental standards and guidelines.
Technical documentation that shares knowledge effectively.
Self learning is considered to be a plus.
Key Working Relationships:
This position involves working with and been part of a cross-skilled, cross-continent development team, and will have regular contact with teams looking after other aspects of Betfair products & tools
Person Specification
Experience & Qualifications Required:
- Java Core is a must
- Servlet/JSP is a must
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, with a desire to learn more
- Experience with Spring Core, Spring Web MVC
- Ajax is a good to know thing as the projects will evolve later
- Experience with and testing frameworks (test driven development is considered to be a plus)
- At least 2 years experience.
