his software professional will research design, build, and test workflows which automate common tasks performed in large data center environments.
In this high-impact role, you will lead and grow a team of several engineers while continuing to be an active contributing member of the PAS content team. The person in this role, will also act as the main liaison between the Redmond content team, and the Cluj content team. This role will require excellent communication skills, and a willingness and ability to ask questions. A pro-active approach to asking questions, and solving issues independently is a must. Providing levels of estimates for the work to be done for the team, and raise risk issues is highly desirable. The person in this role should be able to create daily detailed and technical status reports for the team. It will also be necessary to summarize complex situations and give a synopsis on risk/reward outcomes for any given or possible solutions. This person will be responsible to setting and maintaining the priorities of the team, and staying in synch with the priorities of the Redmond engineers.
Typical Activities
- Research, design, write, and test new automation workflows.
- Research, design, write, and test integration code between PAS and 3rd party applications using common software languages and scripting environments (C#, Java, Perl, VB, JavaScript)
- Debug and fix problems found in existing workflows and integrations.
- Investigate new enterprise products and technologies
- Create technical specifications and test plans
- Create regression tests for use by QA
- Work closely with Doc, QA and other team members in delivering a world-class product
- Provide daily visibility into development tasks progress across the team
- Be the technical expert for workflow technology and integration frameworks
- Provide cross team coordination with India and Redmond, WA based dev team
- bachelors degree in Computer Science
- Proficient in Java development (C# is a plus)
- Scripting (javascript, vbscript, perl) a plus
Technical Skills:
- General Problem Solving
- A good understanding of popular OSs and their API's
- Understanding of relational databases and SQL
- Network Administration is a plus
- 3rd Party Enterprise Applications (Remedy, Peregrine, HPOVO, MOM, etc)
