- 3+ years experience developing Java in a servlet/J2EE environment , or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of at least one web framework such as Spring, Seam, Guice, ideally experience with inversion-of-control frameworks
- Experience with object/relatio nal mapping frameworks such as Hibernate, EJB 3.0, or Java Persistence
- Knowledge of data caching principles and concepts, ideally with experience using cache frameworks
- Familiarity with concepts of http-based computing, especially REST web services
- extensive experience with all facets of software development lifecycle
- knowledge/experience with Hibernate or with SQL and JDBC on Oracle or DB2
- fluency in English
- team player with good communication skills; strong desire to learn and grow professionally
- Desirable/plusses:
- Experience working with distributed systems
- knowledge of Memcached, Squid, concepts such as database sharding, clustered filesystems
- JavaScript, xhtml, Spring, Hibernate and other web technologies
