You will be part of a team aimed at designing and implementing enterprise level Business Process solutions, after they have been identified and analyzed by dedicated Business Analysts.
You will work as part of a multinational group with true, large, enterprise-wide systems, complex architectures, real life constrains (speed, performance, non-stop systems availability).
You will travel in Europe (Vienna, Budapest) for trainings and project meetings.
This position involves working on mission-critical Business Process Management Projects in an international context for a leading European insurance group.
Successful candidates should have the potential and ambition to grow into design, architecture and/or organizational roles.
Desirable skills:
Experience with Business Process Management Systems (e.g. Software AG webMethods, IBM Websphere Process Server, Tibco). This ideally includes an understanding of business as well as technical aspects, from services to UI.
Portal/portlet development experience (using JSF and AJAX).
Experience with messaging systems (e.g. JMS/MQ) and Enterprise Service Buses.
Required skills:
A minimum of two years' full-time work experience in SOA-related, Java-based, enterprise-class software development. Preferably in a large/multinational corporation or a consulting company working for such clients.
Strong interest in clean design and architecture of large-scale software systems.
Structured, organized working style, with an ambition to deliver quality results in limited time.
Strong social skills, good communicator both orally and in written form.
Effective team-worker in a corporate environment.
Fluent in English (both spoken and written). Knowledge of German considered a definite plus.
Solid understanding of modern Web Service technologies (SOAP, WSDL, WS-* ...) and base technologies (XML/XSD/HTTP/...).
Demonstrable Java (J2SE) & frameworks knowledge and experience, with a focus on the J2EE stack (Web applications, Web Services). Additional programming languages are beneficial.
Knowledge of common software design patterns and ability to use them effectively.
Familiarity with UML modeling, CVS/SVN, Unit Testing (test-driven development), code quality metrics.
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Software Engineering, or equivalent. Relevant postgraduate education or research considered a plus.
