RESPONSABILITATI

In this position you are designing, developing, testing and supporting the Extract/Transform/Load processes for Data Warehouse and Data Integration systems. You will work together with other developers and experts for Data Integration and ETL processes in a production MS SQL Server Data Warehouse and application environment.

Responsibilities:
 Participate in technical design sessions and be responsible for ensuring efficient and high quality software deliverables
 Work on day-to-day data warehouse development and support tasks
 Efficiently interpret the given concept documents into robust working solutions
 Be proactive in foreseeing and raising technical impediments
 Be willing and able to explore new techniques to help solve demanding and changing business needs
 Ensure the quality of the implemented solutions
 Fix the bugs/problems that are indicated during the testing phase

Desired qualifications:
 1+ years of experience in ETL design and development
 Solid experience with MS SQL Server 2005 and/or SQL Server 2008 (MS SQL Server Management Studio, SSIS, transact SQL, procedures)
 Awareness of bottlenecks and design considerations from an ETL perspective
 Working experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TSF)

Nice to have:
 Experience with other packages of the MS SQL Server 2005 and/or SQL Server 2008 (SSAS, SSRS, clustered indexes, partitioning)
 Ability to interpret execution plans and to optimize query performance
 Ability to tune the ETL pipeline through the use of caching mechanisms and SQL code
 Experience with database code Unit Testing principles and tools (ex. DBFit)
 Experience with similar BI Products (SAS, IBM Cognos, Pentaho, JasperReports, Teradata)
 Experience with similar RDBMSes (Oracle, PostgreSQL etc.)
 Experience with .NET coding, preferably C#
 Experience with scrum, agile and/or lean project management methodologies is a plus

 Ability to effectively communicate in English at an advanced level (German is a plus)
