Introduction:
- Opsware Inc. is seeking to hire a Driver QA Engineer for our Network Automation System (NAS) product to be based in Cluj, Romania. The person who fills this job will be responsible for working with the team of Opsware Engineers in our US-based facilities to test the quality of software modules that enable NAS to manage a wide range of networking devices.

Overall Job Requirements:
- Develop test plans and perform driver testing and certification functions for Opsware NAS (Network Automation System)
- Interact with and configure a variety of Network Devices from vendors such as Cisco, Nortel, Juniper, Foundry, F5, etc.
- Create and manage bugs and bug reports
Ideal Candidate Background:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- Strong network device configuration skills and experience (IOS, etc.); preferably across multiple network device vendors (including Cisco, Nortel, Extreme, Foundry, Juniper, F5)
- Knowledge and hands on use of major networking technologies (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VLAN, VPN...); broad exposure to real-world device configurations
- Experience with Linux and/or Solaris
- Experience with Windows Server 2003 / 2000
- Highly reliable self-starter; can-do attitude; able to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- (Desirable) - Experience or understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Software Testing methodologies; eperience in creating, maintaining, and executing test plans and test cases; Scripting experience (such as Perl, TCL, Expect or Python); Network Device certifications (Cisco, Nortel, etc.); Experience administering or using a variety of large network management systems (HP OpenView, CA Unicenter, Tivoli, Spectrum, etc.)
